1. Introduction
MojiPop is an emoji puzzle game developed by the app owner (see contact below). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you use our app and services.
This policy applies to users in the United States, United Kingdom, and European Union, and complies with applicable privacy laws including GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA, and other relevant privacy legislation.
2. Information We Collect
Account Information:
- Nickname (chosen by you at sign-up)
- Email address (via Google or Apple login)
Game Content:
- Friend puzzles you create and send
- Friend puzzles you receive and play
Moderation Data:
- Content reports you submit, including the reason for the report, the reported user, and the relevant puzzle (if applicable)
Technical Data (collected automatically):
- Device information (type, operating system, app version)
- Usage analytics (features used, time spent in app, in-game performance data such as puzzle solve times and star ratings), linked to your account identifier
- A temporary anonymous session is created on first app launch to preserve your progress before you sign in with Google or Apple
- Firebase Authentication tokens and session data
- Device advertising ID (used by Google AdMob for ad serving)
We do NOT collect: precise location, payment information, contact list, web browsing history, or audio/video recordings.
3. How We Use Your Information
- Create and manage your account and save your game progress
- Enable you to send and receive puzzles with friends
- Display advertisements via Google AdMob
- Analyse app usage to improve features and performance
- Prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorised access
- Respond to your support enquiries and feedback

- Contract Performance: To provide the MojiPop services you have requested
- Legitimate Interests: To improve our app, ensure security, and provide support
- Consent: For personalised advertising via Google AdMob (EU/UK users), and for optional features such as push notifications
- Legal Obligation: To comply with applicable laws and regulations

- Your nickname is visible to friends you connect with
- Puzzles you send are shared with the friends you choose
- Google Firebase/Firestore: secure data storage and authentication
- Google Firebase Crashlytics: crash reporting and app stability monitoring
- Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM): sending push notifications
- Google AdMob: displaying advertisements
- Apple Sign-In: authentication
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
Legal Requirements: We may disclose information when legally required to comply with valid legal processes (court orders, subpoenas), protect the rights and safety of MojiPop users, or investigate potential violations of our Terms of Service.
6. Data Security
Your data is stored using Google Firebase/Firestore with enterprise-grade security: encryption in transit and at rest, strict access controls, and ISO 27001 / SOC 1, 2, 3 compliance. We retain your data while your account is active and delete it within 30 days of account deletion. Technical logs are automatically deleted after 90 days.

- Access: Request a copy of your personal information
- Correction: Update inaccurate information in your account
- Deletion: Delete your account via Settings > Delete Account
- EU/UK: Right to object, restrict processing, and lodge complaints with your local data protection authority (UK: ico.org.uk)
- California (CCPA): Right to know, delete, and opt-out (we do not sell data)

9. International Data Transfers
Your data may be processed and stored in Google data centres outside your country of residence. For EU and UK users, international transfers are protected by Google's adherence to adequacy decisions where applicable and standard contractual clauses approved by European authorities.
10. Children's Privacy
MojiPop is intended for users aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe your child has provided information to us, contact us immediately.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Significant changes will be communicated through the app. Continued use of MojiPop after changes constitutes acceptance.
